Lack of Training Leads to Injury Risk

The other side of the equation is important: too much training, too quickly, can also raise injury risk. The goal is progressive preparation—not no training and not uncontrolled overtraining.

The body adapts to what we ask it to do. When we stop moving and training, we can lose strength, endurance, balance, mobility, and confidence.

Then, when we suddenly ask the body to lift, run, jump, twist, or work harder than it is prepared for, the risk of injury may increase. The answer is not to avoid activity. The answer is to prepare the body for activity.

Start where you are. Build strength gradually. Practice good movement. Allow time for recovery. Increase the challenge as your body adapts.

Train for the life you want to live.

Because preparation today can help you move with greater strength, confidence, and resilience tomorrow.
