RDL Movements

It is not about bending over. It is about hinging.

  • Push the hips back.

  • Keep a slight bend in the knees.

  • Maintain a strong, stable spine.

  • Keep the weight close to the body.

  • Feel the hamstrings and glutes engage.

  • Then drive the hips forward to return to standing.

The Romanian Deadlift can help build strength through the back of the body—especially the glutes, hamstrings, hips, and core.
